Dr. Michael F Petrie, Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Michael Petrie received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College in 1979. Upon graduation, Dr. Petrie opened his office in Fort Lauderdale, where he continues working today. He is the past President of the Local Chamber, past Board Member of the Florida Chiropractic Society, And has been on the Board of Trustees for the largest chiropactic college in the nation. Dr. Petrie has performed Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) and been an expert medical witness and testified in trial on numerous occasions. His interests include bicycling, billiards, boating and he has been a licensed pilot for over 25 years.

Expertise

Dr. Petrie has been a guest speaker for numerous seminars and has been the treating doctor for professional and local sports teams. He continues to stay on the pulse of his profession by attending seminars and learning new specializations in an effort to expand his expertise in the field of healing arts and apply his knowledge to his patients. He offers Chiropractic care, is Certified in Acupuncture, nutritional supplementation, and more and continues to help hundreds of people in a natural, healthy fashion with educating them on diet, exercise, and good sleeping habits.

Techniques

There are hundreds of chiropractic techniques and Doctor Petrie has trained in multiple methods. He has received Post graduate certification classes to become a Physician of Acupuncture and have passed the National Board Examination. My primary Chiropractic Technique is Intergrated Methods, a combination of the Palmer Method, the Thompson Technique and the Diversified Technique. Extremity adjustments and soft tissue techniques are commonly used. Spinal Decompression involves specialized equipment that I use on some disc injuries including herniated disc. I also offer hands-on health care to correct spinal lesions that interfere with nerve function and cause pain.
